Shining 3D
An all-in-one body scanner designed for orthotics and prosthetics workflows, with onboard processing and contact-free capture.

Scan, process and export on the device without an external computer during capture. Medixa’s interface follows the steps of orthotic and prosthetic scanning. Presets organise acquisition by body region, helping teams repeat a consistent capture procedure without setting every parameter from scratch.

Dedicated presets cover areas such as the head, limbs, torso and feet. Adjust parameters to suit the intended orthotic or prosthetic design. Dedicated settings cover the cranium, face, limbs, torso, feet, seating and sockets. Parameters remain adjustable for the case, with movement compensation supporting capture when the subject cannot remain completely still.

Movement compensation helps capture a patient who cannot remain completely still. A 5 MP texture camera records surface markings.

Colour texture complements the contact-free 3D surface for documentation and design communication. Use the captured model in the appropriate professional measurement and design software rather than treating the scan as a finished medical device.

The compatible FootStation 2 accessory supports dedicated foot digitisation for orthoses, insoles and custom footwear workflows. It is a separate accessory configuration, selected according to the required capture setup.
