Shining 3D
A compact handheld metrology scanner combining blue laser and infrared capture for engineering and quality-control work.

Choose blue laser capture for dimensional work or infrared capture for feature-rich objects.

The original Combo uses 26 crossed laser lines, 7 parallel lines, a single deep-hole line and infrared mode. FreeScan Combo uses 26 crossed blue laser lines for overall acquisition, seven parallel lines for fine detail and one line for deep holes or pockets. Infrared mode provides a separate marker-free option for suitable objects.

Manufacturer laser accuracy is up to 0.02 mm under specified conditions. Select inspection software to match your reporting needs. Export scan data into compatible reverse-engineering or inspection software for CAD reconstruction, comparison and reporting. Combo captures geometry without colour texture; black or reflective surfaces still require an appropriate mode and, where needed, preparation.
The optional Metrology Kit uses magnetic marker balls to organise reference placement around suitable workpieces. Laser scanning relies on an appropriate marker arrangement, while the infrared mode can track suitable geometry without markers.
FreeScan software guides calibration, acquisition and editing. Adjustable resolution matches the detail level to the part, and AI-assisted cleanup removes unwanted data. The included scanning software receives ongoing updates without a scanning subscription.
