Vortek hotend changing brings multi-material projects into one enclosed production workflow.
Dedicated interchangeable hotends help organise multi-colour and multi-material prints while reducing purge waste.
Automatic hotend identification and controlled heating support repeatable material changes. Select compatible material combinations in the slicer.
Guided calibration reduces manual preparation before complex jobs. Laser and cutting equipment is included only with the Laser Full Combo configuration.

Vortek changes the hotend instead of repeatedly flushing every material through one melt zone. Dedicated hotends can reduce colour contamination and purge waste, while the slicer coordinates the material and hotend assignments.

The induction hotends heat rapidly when selected, and automatic identification helps the printer track the installed configuration. The system is designed to reduce waiting during frequent changes in complex multi-material jobs.

A 350°C nozzle capability and active chamber heating to 65°C support technical materials. Match the chamber, bed and material profiles to the selected polymer and dry hygroscopic filaments before demanding prints.
Sensors and camera monitoring help detect feeding and extrusion problems, including material accumulation, filament deviations and printing without deposition. Pre-flight checks assist the operator before starting a job.

The manufacturer specifies flame-retardant chamber construction and a three-stage filter: G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA and activated carbon. Filter maintenance and suitable workspace ventilation remain part of operating with engineering materials.
Cloud connectivity supports remote operation, while offline workflows allow file transfer and firmware updates without internet access. Developer Mode provides integration options through MQTT for suitable third-party systems.
The manufacturer lists eight hotends with the AMS Combo and Laser Full Combo: six induction hotends for the right side and two standard 0.4 mm hotends for the left, plus one AMS 2 Pro. Some hotends are pre-installed.
Using every automatic hotend position may require additional AMS hardware and hotends. The documented firmware supports mixed flow types of the same nozzle size, but not mixing nozzle diameters within one print. Verify the installed firmware before planning a specialised workflow.
The Laser Full Combo adds the corresponding laser equipment and a cutting module with pen holder. Laser power depends on the selected 10 W or 40 W configuration. The AMS Combo does not include those laser accessories.
