Bambu Lab AMS lite: four spools, more colour
Bring multicolour printing to compatible Bambu Lab printers with four automatically managed filament spools. The open AMS lite combines automatic filament backup, accessible spool holders and RFID recognition in one compact system.
Multicolour printing for everyone
Create models with up to four colours or compatible materials in a single print. AMS lite handles filament changes automatically, opening up new possibilities for decorative models, functional parts and support interfaces.
Automatic filament backup
Configure a matching replacement spool and AMS lite can load it when the current spool runs out. Automatic backup keeps a print moving and helps use the filament left on partially empty spools.
Improved spool compatibility
Spring-loaded rotating holders grip each spool through its centre hole, improving compatibility with cardboard spools. Supported spools are 40–68 mm wide, with an inner diameter of 53–58 mm.
Easy access for maintenance
The open layout keeps the filament path and components accessible. A translucent housing lets you observe the mechanism, making it easier to locate problems and carry out maintenance.
Easier support removal
Use compatible breakaway support material or dry soluble filament to simplify support removal. Select a support material suited to both your model filament and your printer.
Automatic filament identification
RFID tags on supported Bambu Lab spools let AMS lite recognise the filament and synchronise its settings with Bambu Studio. Configure other supported filaments manually on the printer or in Bambu Studio.
Printer and filament compatibility
AMS lite supports Bambu Lab A1 and A2 series printers. Each printer connects to one AMS lite, providing up to four colours. It is not compatible with X, P or H2 series printers.
Filament feeding compatibility does not guarantee that a printer can print every listed material. Flexible, brittle or highly abrasive filaments can be unsuitable; check the full specifications above and the manufacturer’s filament guide. This open system does not provide active drying or sealed storage.
